Beachbody Challenge Group Assignment

We know you're fired up about the new "Beachbody® Challenge" philosophy, and we are, too! Beachbody Challenge Groups are a fun, engaging way to bring new customers and Coaches into supportive accountability groups to help them achieve their health and fitness goals.

Here are four steps to achieving Challenge Group success. They're based on the Game Plan Sharing Cycle.

We've compiled tips, suggestions, and strategies from some of our top Coaches for bringing these steps to life. Challenge Groups are working for them. With these ideas, they can work for you, too.

FIND

I'm at the grocery store. A guy working there says, "My brother gave me P90X." I'm like, "Awesome! Let me put you in a Challenge Group on Facebook. I'll coach you through, and there'll be only five of you in the group."

"Only five?" He's excited.

I said, "And how cool would it be if you pick the other four? What friends or co-workers might want to do this?"

He says, "Everybody who works here."

Perfect! So I turned one person into five. In ONE conversation.

INVITE

Create a sense of urgency. We say we're looking for five people to join our challenge. Jump, before they get taken. Then, if you get 10 people, start two groups of five. If you get 15, do three groups of five. Or, if you get 10, tell the last five they missed the deadline—but register them for the one you're starting in 30 days. It makes them feel this is something to be a part of. It creates that sense of urgency, flow, and momentum, from Challenge to Challenge to Challenge.

INVITE

Once I've found 10 people, I send each person a private Facebook message inviting them to my next Challenge. In it, I include a little information about myself—maybe a few credentials, or the successes that I've had in my health and fitness journey—in the hope it inspires them to commit to this Challenge, because I have been there myself.

SHARE

When I share The Beachbody Challenge, I share that fitness, plus nutrition, plus support equals success. We share the fitness programs, plus the nutritional side of Beachbody. Our online menu planning helps determine what people should eat to reach their personal goals. Also supplements, Shakeology especially, Results & Recovery drink, the protein bars—things that help balance them nutritionally during their fitness program. Thirdly, I share the importance of support and social accountability, explaining how vital it is to engage with their small group.

So fitness, plus nutrition, plus support, equals success. If you show people results with that simple equation, you'll have lifetime customers and future Coaches.

When sponsoring someone into your Challenge, you've got to have deadlines. We back up the registration date one week before the start date. So if we're starting on one Monday, the deadline for orders is the Monday before. That way everybody's sure to get their programs on time, so we can all start the same day.

If somebody says they're ready to do the Challenge, sign ‘em up! Take them to the Web site, walk them through the ordering process, or do it over the phone. But make sure they get it in.

SPONSOR – GETTING STARTED

When I start somebody in a Challenge Group, I do a Get Started Right Interview, just as if they were a new Coach (without the financial part). We talk about their physical goals and what they want to do with their health. It's a perfect opportunity to encourage them to get a physical, blood labs, and find out where they are today, healthwise.

Then 60 or 90 days later, they'll do the same physical and labs again, see where they are, and they'll know how much you changed their life.

As the Challenge ends, it's important to do two things with every person in a group. First, help them see what's happened in the last 90 days:

Did they lose weight? Do they feel better?

Second, paint the vision for the future. Make sure they have a plan going forward. We didn't get them in this just to drop 'em on the street, right?

So give them two options.

Option #1: Repeat the process in another Challenge, as a customer, at the same or higher level workout program.

Option #2: Become a Coach and run your own Challenge, helping others through the process you just completed.

The foundation of this business is running online challenge groups. HAVE NO FEAR, I’m going to help you! (And remember, you don’t have to run your own group until you are ready!)

Posting about challenge groups is a learning experience, so I want you to tweak your approach and figure out what works for you, BUT I can tell you that leading by example and sharing from the heart are the BEST ways to advertise for your Challenge Groups.

People want to see someone they KNOW have success before they are ready to jump on board. You don't have to have this crazy transformation- it could be that you lost 5 lbs, are FINALLY able to do a pushup or make it through a whole workout, or maybe you JUST STARTED and did your first workout!

It could be physical results OR  how working out makes you FEEL! Bottom line, SHARE YOUR STORY & SPEAK FROM THE HEART!


What makes a great CG post? Here are a few KEY ingredients:



1) It should reflect your personality, style, & goals- I write mine EXACTLY how I talk in “real life.”

2) Speak from the heart- the same STRUGGLES you have are exactly what people RELATE to!
.
3) Appeal to the person you’re trying to attract or would love to help! (My customer wants to work on her "problem areas"- tummy, thighs, and butt. It’s very doubtful a man trying to put on muscle will respond to that.)

4) It should be visually appealing! PicMonkey is your friend. CAUTION: Do not get salesy here! The best CG posts feature YOU - not some 21 Day Fix marketing image that Beachbody created!

5) Showcasing your own RESULTS is MOST effective, but if you are just starting your journey, NO WORRIES, you can use others - just no stock Beachbody transformation photos please! 

6) Sense of URGENCY (Example: only 3 spots available & the group starts June 15th).

7) Have a Call to Action (If this interests you LIKE, COMMENT, MESSAGE ME.)

Have fun with this - the best thing about this business is you are constantly learning & evolving! 

Consider this when posting to Facebook:


1) Is it working? Are people responding?
2) Would it appeal to YOU? Would YOU raise your hand and say “Yes, I'm fat! Help me!" 

Here is a new coach posting guide created by another SUPER successful coach. REFERENCE THIS! 


Pro Tip: ALWAYS start "advertising" for your Challenge Groups 3 weeks before the LAST DAY to order/first day of PREP WEEK (which is one week before the actual workouts start)! This gives you plenty of time to sprinkle it in your newsfeed without throwing Beachbody in people's faces.

This strategy is called Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook! Your jabs are sprinkles: pictures of you drinking Shakeo, eating a healthy meal, doing your workout, etc. These build interest in what you are doing. 


THEN you RIGHT HOOK! Your right hook is your INVITE! This is when you finally say: Join Me! I have a group starting on June 15th! 
DON’T just start advertising Challenge Groups without sprinkling in teasers of what you are doing beforehand!

1. Decide when you are going to post invites. (I recommend 3 “Join me!” types of posts from now until the first day of the next CG.)

2. Craft ONE of your Challenge Group posts & POST in the comments of today's FB post for review! (You can post more than 1 if you want!)
